ASTRAL STYX [DEMO ver 0.1] is LIVE!
Huge news for our fans! We just released the ASTRAL STYX [DEMO ver 0.1] on itch.io!
This demo includes two levels, a demo track based in the Sanguine Domain of the Styx, and the toybox where I built and tested a lot of the gameplay systems including spline-track movement and gravity shifting!
There is also a new Player Equip page where the player can alter Morgan’s appearance and explore the Insights page where you can purchase and equip abilities that upgrade Morgan’s moveset.
If you’re ever stuck, you can access the Oneiros Handbook, where you can read up on tutorials and a compendium of characters/monsters that are included in the demo.
We have also implemented a few setting options for players, of which the controls should provide the most accessibility! Players who prefer to use Keyboard and Mouse can change their keybinds freely. However, player who use a gamepad can select a preferred controller in the Options Menu to change what controls are listed in the Tutorials list. There is also no configuration for changing control schemes for gamepads.
Players who have trouble connecting their controllers to the game can add the demo to their Steam Library in order to utilize the Steam Input.
A lot of progress has been made to the point where we felt confident in releasing a demo to give everyone a taste of our vision. We hope you will enjoy this short experience!
If you ever want to give feedback, comments, concerns, etc, you can send us an email at contact@cosmolair.com
We will also respond to any inquiries related to ASTRAL STYX, should you have any!
In other news, it just snowed recently! It reminded me that I forgot to post this christmas art on this blog.
ASTRAL STYX Chrismas 2024 Art
I made this throughout Christmas along with doing everything else. I’d forgotten to post this on this blog until now, and what reminded me was the snow that just happened earlier today, and then I thought “Thinking about it, the latest art posted on the blog is the Thanksgiving art… Maybe I should post this art on the blog tonight!”
And so now it’s here!
Also, Happy New Years! I didn’t make art for New Years because my team and I were hard at work on preparing this demo for you all. So I’m sure the amount of content included might be able to give you all an idea of what we’re looking to achieve.
